The new logistics centre on Hägenstraße
Since mid-2018, the new logistics centre on Hägenstraße, in the Anderten district of the German city of Hanover, has served as a replacement for our depot on the Alten Flughafen business park, which was destroyed by fire.
With an internal height of almost 8 metres as well as three levellers (as well as additional roller shutters for transporters, and so on), our new logistics building offers sufficient traffic and shunting area for smooth handling of up to four HGVs at the same time, over an area of approximately 2900 square metres. More than 100 spaces in the hall ensure that pallets are packed and ready for despatch, over 1250 pallet storage areas cater for standard pallets and almost 2500 high rack storage locations provide sufficient storage options for our raw, semi-finished and finished goods, with the potential for expansion.
The office and social accommodations for break rooms, cloakrooms and showers take up around an additional 350 square metres. A complete fire alarm system with sprinkler systems is installed in all parts of the building. In addition to parking spaces for all employees, the logistics centre is protected by an alarm system and fencing to prevent unauthorised access or other disruptive influences. Connections to local public transport as well as a covered bike rack are within walking distance. It is 1 km away from the Anderten motorway junction on the A7, and 400 metres to the Bundesstraße 6 main road, making the new logistics centre easily accessible for everyone. Currently, 18 logistics employees are posted in our new logistics centre on Hägenstraße.
