Mayor Onay on his 2020 summer tour
How do our interests and concerns feed into policy? One opportunity is the mayor‘s visit. This year too, the incumbent mayor, Belit Onay, found his way to us. Together we spoke about the future of Hanover as a business centre and the technical development at nass magnet.
At the start of August this year, Belit Onay, the current mayor of the state capital, Hanover, paid a visit to nass magnet GmbH as part of his 2020 summer tour of local businesses. The press officer for the city of Hanover, Felix Weiper, visited us with him.
In a discussion that was both very open and friendly, Mayor Onay used this opportunity to learn about nass magnet GmbH, its markets and its economic situation. A key focus of the visit was, however, also on the general requests that we, as a company, training organisation and employer, have of politics and especially of the city of Hanover. In addition, Onay explained his plans for developing the city of Hanover. During a factory tour, Technical Manager Patrick Oelkers was able to give him a closer look at the company and its technological competences. At this point, a thank you is also due to Mr Oelkers.
The mayor ultimately left the nass magnet GmbH with what he said was a thoroughly positive impression, and offered to be available to solve problems at any time if these solutions were within his sphere of influence.
The members of the management team present were also left with a great memory of both meeting Mr Onay and the open discussion.
